29.10: Master Film Lectures @ Film Academy
The Body as the Protagonist in Image Making by Roberta Marques
From Eadweard Muybridge’s body and motion picture essays to Piña Bausch’ contemplative dance-cinema, DVD-8 choreographed narratives and Bill Viola’s body-video-installations, Roberta Marques will talk about and show fragments of work that have inspired her to develop her own style in filmmaking and directing actors.
Every other Tuesday night (19:30-21:30 hrs) the Master’s department of the Film Academy organises lectures by film makers, visual artists, composers, philosophers, scientists or film theoreticians. The aim of lectures is to broaden horizons and to get inspired by a diversity of approaches and perspectives. Lectures are free and open to all who are interested.
